- Since
the inception of our work on the Internet, the number
of hits per day on our world-wide web has grown in a major way.
- has grown at an astonishing rate.
In reflecting upon our work and many of your suggestions thus
far, we sincerely believe we have undertaken an endeavor with
great potential for bringing many lost souls to Christ while
also providing useful tools and information to members of the
Church of Christ. Our goal is to aggressively (within the
confines of God’s Word) set up programs on the Internet
that will bring lost souls throughout the world to Christ. We
are confident that this can be accomplished through programs
such as Internet Bible Correspondence courses. Too many today
say "nobody wants to hear God’s Word" and, as a
result, end up doing nothing for the cause of Christ. This
should not be our attitude toward the work that Christ
commanded us to do (Matthew 28:19-20). We need to
aggressively seek ways to reach the lost at any cost.
"Souls are crying...men are dying." "The
harvest is ripe, pray for laborers..."
NewTestamentChurch.org web site has on display over 19,073 files and
many of those files consist of several pages (such as articles and
outlines). We are also now adding audio and video
presentations to these files.
In order to move forward with our Internet work, we need
committed volunteers and those who are willing to financially
support this effort. Obviously, this effort is not without
costs. For example, the cost of providing Bible
correspondence course certificates and a Bible to those who
complete a course can be costly when you consider the real
possibility of hundreds of courses being completed monthly.
Once the course is completed, the certificate and Bible is
sent to the nearest congregation so that two or more members
can hand deliver and visit the person completing the course.
If this work continues to grow as we fully expect it to,
additional full-time laborers will be necessary to carry the
workload and responsibilities associated with such a work.
Your support by volunteering to help with
the workload or by financially supporting this work would be
greatly appreciated and would go toward efforts for the cause
of Christ.
Outlined below are areas where physical help is needed. Since
the Internet has no geographic area confinements, volunteers
can work out of their home from anywhere in the world. Please
review the list and mark any area or areas where you feel you
can commit to be a part of a good work. Please only volunteer
your help or support if you are committed and dedicated to
this work. We firmly believe the Lord desires our best -
"whatever you do...do it with all your might." We
are committed to ensuring that this effort is not undertaken
half-heartedly, but with all the might of those involved. If
you volunteer to help, we will be counting on you to follow
through with that commitment. Please consider the time that
will be needed to complete a listed task, and if you
volunteer for a job, do it with all your heart. Well over 100
people have volunteered to work on projects with this site.
Most have been very enthusiastic in the beginning, and then
have been unable to complete their task. Out of so many who
have started, there are five precious souls who have
continued to sacrifice greatly to maintain this effort for
the cause of Christ. Without them, many features of this web
site could not be maintained. However, not only are they
maintained, but also they are lovingly cared for, and it
shows in content and appearance. I am forever in their debt
for helping my wife and me in this work.
We are also greatly indebted to over 80 preachers and leaders
who have served as counselors on many issues regarding this
site. Many of them also have agreed to correspond and study
with individuals in need of spiritual guidance. An estimated 1,250 to
1,400 leads have been generated due to this site. This site has
been a contributing factor in several baptisms and restorations
(for the past 7+ years we have played a part in baptizing an average
of 2 to 3 people daily throughout the world);
including preachers who have been brought to the truth in regards
to the worship service. We give God the glory, but also want to stress
the need for physical, financial, and prayerful help with
this venture. If you cannot help by volunteering time, please
pray for our efforts, and please consider supporting this
work financially.
