Communion Loaf

bullet

2 tablespoons olive oil

bullet

6 tablespoons boiling water

bullet

1 cup flour
bullet

Mix olive oil in the boiling water. This helps to distribute the oil evenly in the water.

bullet

Mix the flour in the oil & water.

bullet

Put some flour on your hands and form the mixture into a ball.

bullet

Knead the mixture well using your finger tips to press the mixture on the outside into the middle.

bullet

Keep the side you are working with right side up in the palm of your hand.

bullet

Place the mixture onto a slightly floured pie pan with the side you worked on down first.

bullet

Form as evenly as possible into a circle.

bullet

Place another pie pan (floured on the bottom of the outside) on top of the bread and press down (this will give an evenness in the bread).

bullet

Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until done, not crispy.

bullet

Keep the pie pan on top throughout the baking.

bullet

After the bread is done, take out of the pie pan and place onto a paper towel to cool.
bullet

Just in case of accidents---make two loaves.  You will have to adjust the recipe accordingly.

bullet

If you don't have olive oil, you can just use flour and water.
